I can't even begin to describe how this book changed my life. If you saw my copy of this book, you would probably laugh because it is literally falling apart because I have read it so many times. Each time, I gain something new. Each time, my heart is softened and each time, I grasp a little bit more about My Father's love for me. This book was truly inspired and annointed by God. I share this book with everyone that I can and I love to see how God uses it to transform them and give them a new perspective of God's redeeming love. I get choked up just thinking about it. I think my favorite part of the book, is the dream that Angel has toward the end where Michael is coming toward her and she is crying for him to stop because she doesn't want him to see her filth, and she sees the small flame where his heart is, and it comes forth and transforms into Jesus, who takes her filth and her sin and embraces her and makes her clean and whole. My description of this scene doesn't begin to do it justice and I have read that part over and over again and shared it with many people because it is such a powerful picture of what God does for us.
I want to thank you for writing this book. Although this one has a special place in my heart, I love all of your books and have been ministered to through each one. I am very excited to get your new book this month, I can hardly wait! Again, thank you so very much and may God bless you in every way. :)

I have this pet peeve about people treating my books the wrong way, so I don't even let me sister borrow my books. I am proud to say that this book is so powerful that I rarely have it at home.
Also, its really hard to find a good example of a solid, Christian man. Although Michael Hosea is fictional, we have set our standards high with someone who has a strong relationship with God like him. (My friends and I promised each other that we would wait for someone like Michael Hosea.)
Wow what can I say but just that. I have never understood the struggles of the unsaved, the battle of one who is struggling to come to God, and the condemnation that keeps people from God as much as this book opened my eyes to. I have developed a compassion for the lost in a way that is new and diffferent. I have come to realise that people stay lost because they believe, like Angel, that they could never match up to God love and that they are wrigged with so much filth that it is not even conceivable that God (Jesus) could love them the way he says he does. I have come to understand to a degree what God must feel every time we run from him, like the Israelites etc He persues us!! Michael helped me to see another facit of God that I had found it hard to get, why does got persue the sinner? Because he loves the sinner...because he loves the sinner....because he loves the sinner???? How...But this book helped me understand Gods unconditional,un asking love. It also helped me to make sense of the songs of solomon without perversions clouding my mind. Wow...
I remember the first time I read Redeeming Love with clarity. Angel's story shifted something inside of me that caused me great anguish and forced me face facts about my own life, causing me great fear. I was alone in my house and I threw the book across the room and shouted to God "Why would you make me aware that such a love exsists and not help me find it for myself?!" I was in such pain.
At the time I related better to Angel than any other real person I knew. I had many dark secrets- things done to me, things I did that I felt I had to hide- and I believed I was alone with them as they slowly destroyed me. I remember reading lines of Angel's thoughts that had been my thoughts, my own exact words about men and about life. Like her, I trusted no one. I was barely surviving life.
I need to say that several years later, as I prayed and did my best to obey, God brought healing for my deep wounds in the form of a man that loves me unconditionally- like Michael Hosea. We married and I am amazed at how much better I began to understand Jesus' love for me through the way my husband patiently, graciously helped and allowed me to work through the ugliness of my past.
Years have gone by and I am no longer that broken, wounded, angry woman. I hardly know her anymore and I say Praise God! He really has made all things new!
We are having a daughter in May and I want nothing more than to protect her from the things I experienced, I want her to know a different life- for her to be much like Miriam, truely loving Jesus and one day walking into a blessed, unbroken marriage.
I have now read Redeeming Love over 9 times and my husband and I share it with many other people. I love to write and I have been inspired by Francine Rivers with each page I pour into. One day I will be published too, I know it.
Mrs. Rivers once commented about how she had writer's block badly- and so she prayed for God to give her a story, for Him to write it through her. I believe that is why Redeeming Love is so powerful- the Holy Spirit is in the pages and God's truth coupled with His love is the most powerful force on earth.
This is what I want for my future readers- for them to hear the Lord's voice through the story and be changed, helped and healed by an encounter with His Truth in the form of a story they can relate to, one they can understand.
Thank You, Francine Rivers, for obeying the voice of the Lord. My life has been changed for good and much of it began with this book.

I live in Paradise, thee area in which redeeming Love takes place.
Yearly there is a celebration here that remembers the gold Rush and the largest single gold nugget found(it is said to have been discovered here) Our "Gold Nugget Days" includes a parade, a run, a donkey derby, a melodrama and many other activities. The most exciting and anticipated event though, is the competition for Gold Nugget Queen. She must be a junior in High School and be part of constructing an authentic dress form the 1860s to 1889. Our girls are sweet and lovely and represent the hard working brave women that came here during that time. Angel would have been fortunate to be friends with any of these women. The kick off to the celebration is Wednesday, April 22 come see where Angel lived and suffered and discovered God's patience and perseverance in His pursuit of her.
I have been a hurt woman driven away from God's blessings by my own insecurities much like Angel in this book. Her determination is encouraging for any woman-hurt or not. Francine is a truly gifted author who is blessed in her writing. I have never connected with a book the way I connected with this one. I have been blessed from reading it. I hope many others will indulge in the blessings this book offers.
To those who struggle in their marriages with how God intended sex to be, read this book! As I am counceling a young woman who is struggling to enjoy that part of her marriage, I was able to use this book! Sex is made to be so dirty to the Christian woman because of society and the way they portray it, that a woman who actually HAS kept herself pure until her wedding day, struggles with the thought that she is doing something wrong. To wait your whole life and remain pure, after seeing how society says women should act during sex, it is very difficult to enjoy anything when you never think you can live up to what a man has been shown in this society. This book helped her realize that it is God's gift to those who are brought together by him to be one flesh. I was reading this book while trying to council her and this book helped me know how to council her and bring about healing.
My sister has always been my guide on which books to read, and I have to say, this is by far one of the best books i've gotten my hands on. I love the way Francine writes about, God, love, and life. It has opened my own eyes on my very own situation and that there's one true God dispite all our troubles, that he will carry us through. I am witness of this. Thank you for this book Francine

i am from the philippines. my boyfriend from illinois gave me this book, Redeeming Love, when he visited me in my country. i am deeply touched and cant help my tears from flowing as i read how michael hurts in angel's coldness, how angel accepted the Lord, and how paul realized his self-righteousness and see amanda at last, and many more touching scene. i read it many times. i wanted to keep it myself but then, i want to share it to my friends. i wanted to have another copy of it so that i can share the other one to my friends but cannot find it and any copy of francine river's books here in our national bookstore. i hope someday, a christian producer will discover francine river's book and make it into a movie. thanks and more power to Francine.
By far, my favorite book. I've read it multiple times and each time i get something new from this book. It is greatly written and only could come from God.

I read this book several years ago and was awed by it. I have since lost the book and have been racking my brain for years trying to find out the name of it. My co-worker and I found it today and I am absolutely estatic!!! This is the BEST BOOK I have ever read!!! God is always at work...even when we are asleep and unaware.

This was the first Francine Rivers book I read whilst visiting my sister in the US and I was awe struck by the way the book took me on such an emotional rollercoaster whilst at the same time inspiring me on a spiritual level. What a truly gifted writer she is. I have since read the Scarlett Thread and Unafraid. Truly inspiring. I am starting A Voice in the Wind, and am so excited about the journey I will be taking with the characters in this book. Brilliant!

I have read Redeeming Love about five times and want to read it again this weekend. In a love starved world this book is a fountain of living water that could only have been inspired by the Spirit. I thank God for His love that redeems us and pray that we all will learn to love like Michael in the book. When we go to God to love us He enables us to love others like that.

I recently borrowed the book from a freind, I have never wept, prayed and believed like I did like I did when I was reading the book lastly I promised myself that I will wait for a man like Michale Hosea to marry me!!
This book has touched so many and thank God many more to come... My mom got it for me and I had to put it aside until I finished another book. When I picked it up to read it, I don't think I put it down for more than an hour. I was taking it to work and hiding it in my locker to read for just a few minutes here and there. I was so enveloped in each character. Not only is it an incredibly well written book with amazing visuals and emotional connections to anyone and everyone, it really truly touches your heart and teaches you invaluable lessons. I am praying that it gets turned into a movie. I know there is a production company working on it. I'm also praying to get cast in the movie. I want to be a part of movies like this, there needs to be a change in Hollywood, a small one has already begun.

This is an intense book its just lovely. For sure God inspired you to write this book. this book has taught me how to forgive and never to give up on the people you dearly love. I read it at a point in my life where i was struggling with forgiving someone after reading it helped me understand forgiveness.

I read this book last year - during a dark time in my life. I am yet married - waiting upon the Lord. I know in my heart he is out there. This book revealed so much to me - to wait upon the Lord is the most important lesson I gained from the book. You are an amazing writer through Jesus Christ. This is by far the best book i've ever read! its been such a huge comfort to me. This past February when my fiance broke up with me, i imediately ran to this book.
