Join a master of fiction on a jaunt through the heart and mind of an unsung hero of the Bible—Aaron, Moses' brother and little recognized spokesman. We see Aaron develop from an embittered little boy to a man possessed by a like vision as his much-lauded brother was, but without the fanfare. The contrast between Aaron's lofty goals of the heart and his frequent failures of the flesh make the story all too real and personal. Rivers delivers. Those two words say it all. Rich characterization and gripping plot are contained between the hard covers of this neatly crafted novella. This is the first in Rivers' series of five different men who served God faithfully in the shadows. — Romantic Times
From the sons of encouragement series I have read. (I haven't read the warrior) I was deeply touched by this book. I understood from this book what the term “service” and “being under authority” mean. The whole series seeks to teach us, yes that we can make mistakes but not to make excuses. To know God is to obey him. You don’t have to be in front of a pulpit to affect a generation, you just have to follow God's purpose for your life and TRUST that he knows better than you do, acknowledge his SOVEREIGNTY and rest in the knowledge that his thoughts towards you are always of LOVE.

These books are great, they bring Aaron to life and let you know what he might have been going through and thinking. It gives you a whole new aspect of who Aaron might have been.. I loved it.
