A Stop Light

On nights when I can’t sleep, I will sometimes sit at the kitchen nook table and look out at the view.  I can see a stop light on the road.  It changes every few minutes; red, green, yellow, over and over again. 

Red reminds me of the blood of Christ Jesus shed on the cross for my sins.  Green reminds me of the new life I have because I believe He is the way, the truth and the life.  Yellow reminds me I have a future and a hope in Him, that one day I will stand before the throne of God, a witness of His glory.

Red, green, yellow, red… 

Just watching that stop light changing in the night brings me back to what I know is true.  All is well for those who trust in the Lord.  He has a plan for each of us.  God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
