I just recently reread the Mark of the Lions series and I am amazed again at the true gift of writing that God has given Francine Rivers. Her books always teach me a truth that God wants me to learn at that time of my life and truly touch my heart! Keep writing! I love your books and share them with everyone!
I can't even express my love for these books. They are so well written and just reading the beautifully written words of Hadassah's story, Marcus' story and Atretes' story. I cannot thank you enough Francine. These books came to me in a great time of need. Thank you Lord for giving these wonderful, wonderful talents to Francine.
Thanks for writing this series. You must have spent several months, or years researching the history of that time period. I never thought I would read a better story after Redeeming Love, boy was I wrong. I hope this series becomes a movie some day!!
I read these books several years ago and they had such an impact on me that I still refer back to them often.
I truly believe that God's hand rested on you the whole time you wrote these books. Thank you.
I can not say enough on how much these books have impacted my life. I have read them several times and enjoy them everytime I pick them up. I think making them into movies would also allow audiences that do not read to get a feel on how great these books are!!
Thankyou so much Francine, what a wonderful gift from God & thankyou for weaving God's word & message through your books. I have just finished the first two in this series. They are awesome. I am a new reader to your books, (previously not much of a reader) and am swallowing them. Oh so good. I am inspired and challenged and encouraged to live in God's will.

Each part of the book was beautiful.Hadassah grew stronger in faith and in her trust in God from the book 1 to 2.This encouraged me to lean on God more, in his word, in his ability, and to listen to the silent voice in my heart.Infact i was mostly challenged by the love that was shared abroad in Hadassah's heart towards the various characters-Juilliet,Marcus etc.I mean it's only God's love that can cause one to love to such degree and to still be willing to forgive. I was blessed by the books. Thank you Francine Rivers for being a point of source that God could use to reach and bless lives.

I was reading'An echo in the darkness' and I was moved by the inner beauty of Hadassah despite her physical uglyness.I realized that it takes the Spirit of God for us to love without thought and to have compassion like our Lord Jesus had before healings took place.Thank you Francine for letting the Lord use you.God bless you.

HONESTLY, I HAVE NEVER READ NOVELS AS TOUCHING, INSPIRING, MOVING AS MARK OF THE LION SERIES.AFTER I READ THEM I COULDN'T GET OVER THE NOVEL FOR SOME TIME. IT REALLY AFFECTED ME, OF COURSE POSITIVELY.
KEEP THE GOOD WORK ON, I ENJOY YOUR BOOKS
The Mark of the Lion series is a yearly read for me. It is one of those series you hate to see end. I find them so uplifting. This past summer my 17 year old son wanted a series to read, so I gave them to him. He loved them and found them truly moving!
Out of all your books I like these the best. I was thirteen when I read them for the first time, I am now fourteen and have read them so many times I know the books by heart.
every time I open one of your books ,no matter how many times I've read it before, I'm glued to it and can't put it down until it's finished.
Thank you for the beautiful story of Hadassah. In reading the Mark of the Lion Trilogy, I have learned to FORGIVE and to stand strong in the FAITH. It has truly changed the way I think about others and most of all, my walk with Christ. I pray that you be blessed in the ministry of story telling and that others will be touched the way that I have been. Thank you and God Bless!!
Your books are truly amazing!!! & I thank God for the gift of writing You have. My faves are the mark of the lion series and I'm still wondering whats taking you so long to turn them into movies, and redeeming love. Keep up the good work and God bless you.
Hadassah! Hadassah! Hadassaaaaaaah! The First time I heard this story was when a friend narrated it to me and i cried all through while she told me.Even While Listening, I stole glances at the pages and Eight years later I can remember the soldiers sandal that hadassah and her family ate as a meal.Thank God for his magnificience cos am awed even after Eight years.
The first book Voice in the Winds was the first book I got my hands on when was 18 and moved to Sudan to preach the good news. It was a second hand paperback without a picture and I didnt expect much. I was amazed as I read in a tent by candle light about a young girl who I would like to think is very much like me and how she overcame her fear of spreading the Gospel.
I've read the first two of this series and have utterly fallen in love with the charecter of Hadassah ever since my best friend handed to me the first book. The constant faith that Hadassah continued to have in the LORD makes me wonder if I would have been that strong. It really encouraged me. Im now currently reading the last one and are very eager to see what will happen with Atretes and his son.
These were the first books of more than 200 pages that I ever read. I remember reading the back and admiring the covers (the old cover not the new ones) of the books for a long time before deciding I just had to read them! I could not put them down! I found the person of Hadassah very inspiring as I was dealing with a lot of the same issues about how to share my faith.
I remember being really disappointed when my family was about to move to another country and I knew I would have to return As Sure as the Dawn to the Library without having finished it. Then, just a few days before our move, a relative I rarely saw brought me the book and gave it to me!
I have been reading Francine Rivers' books ever since. They never cease to amaze me with their astute portrayal of relationships!
I pray that God may keep on blessing Francine Rivers' ministry in North America and throughout the world!
Truly amazing story/series. Such a powerful truth within the story, just as the truth of redemption is. I simply loved this series. I keep looking for stories like this, but nothing has yet come close. Getting ready to read Mark of the Lion series again. Would love to see this made into a movie, it would be epic! I call it "moving fiction" because it stirs the heart in an amazing way. The power of GOD is amazing! -Jen
Francine, you are amazing! All of your books should be movies. I have not watched the "Tudors" series but there should be a "Mark of the Lion" series. We want more Marcus, more Hadassah, more Rome!!
I picked up a Voice in the Wind because I wanted to read something, and It was very inspiring. Hadassah was so humble, and spiritual, I wish I could be like her. She forgave and inspired all those around her. She was very sensitive to the feelings of others.
I started to hate Julia around the middle of the voice in the wind, and It amazed me to see that Hadassah still forgave and helped her to the end.
I have been given a new hunger for the scriptures and for God...
Thank you!
I'd never really been a book-reader; let alone reading fiction! I was introduced to Francine's books early last year and I'm certainly proud and glad for it. I had never read a 400-paged book; but I've found with Francine's books, once you start, you just can't put the book down. Very inspiring, uplifting, encouraging; and mostly, its helped me look closely at my own Christian walk and faith in the Lord.
Keep up the good work Ma'am - what an awesome gift you have from God.
Hope to see these books in movies format very soon in Jesus name. Amen.
May the good Lord continue to inspire you onto even greater works in Jesus name. Amen
These books have truly moved me. Thank you, Ms. Rivers for using your gift to glorify God and further His kingdom.
These are the books that keep you up until two am finishing them, and I love them. Your characters are real and it is so easy to get in their head and feel their emotions.
Thank you for your books.

I'm twelve years old and have read A Voice in the Wind three times and An Echo in the Darkness twice. I think this series is a wonderful read. Hadassah was my favourite character, even though she sometimes irritated me. I wasn't too fond of Marcus though. Atretes was the best!!!
When I started reading these books I fell in love with Hadassah's inner beauty & humility but unfortunately saw myself as more of a Julia... one out to please myself, zealous about all the wrong things in life & empty. I started reading these books at just the right time. I'm now going through the series for a second time & I turn the pages as if I don't already know what's going to happen. I would recommend these books to anyone & everyone.
As someone said above, it would be wonderful if another 1 or 2 books were written in this series on someone from the series such as Atretes son?
My sentiments exactly. If only i could be half the christian that she is, i'd surely make heaven. The Mark ofthe Lion series are the best books i've ever read in my life. Apart from being very interesting, they positively changed my christian life forever. I was inspired, i saw possibilities and hope. I wish they'd be made into movies, with story lines as close to the books as possible. Thank you Francine, please keep writing for God.
I absolutely Love the 'Mark of The Lion' Series The life of Hadassa is so encouraging, it's made me aim to be a much more better Christian. With God's grace I will, but the story of Hadassa has been a launching pad for me and I am so grateful. Thanks Francine!
I absolutely fell in love with these books and raved about them to my friends. They would ask to borrow the first book, but not the others because they liked it so much they ended up buying the trilogy themselves!
I love these books so much! There are hands down my favorite! I'm just about to re-read them, and get my family to read them again! I thank my best friend so much for introducing me to them. They are truely amazing books!
I'm reading A VOICE IN THE WIND, and up tiil now,I learn more lessons than before!!!!! Francine,if you can, please write a book about rejection and living through it,getting stronger and learning to trust again, I absalutely love the lessons God show in your books.
God bless you, xxx
